The most recent works posted below are 35 digital paintings from 2020. These pictures come out of my practice of Buddhist meditation and are my response to the turbulent political events of the past year and the devastation of the Covid19 Pandemic.
The first 13 works are improvised compositions integrating elements of abstraction and representation. The rest are specifically meditative works centered by a single figure. Several of these figures evoke the Tibetan female Buddha Tara who is said to manifest in various colors and 22 different forms each of which transmits a unique power to aid the practitioner on her, his, or their path. During this period, I have also been making digital animations, some of which can be viewed on Vimeo. There you can find a suite of 8 brief animations entitled Pandemic Diary which can be accessed by following this link
All in all, there are over 250 works represented in this blog going back about a decade. Click on "older posts" at the bottom right of each page to find additional images. Please note that each thumbnail can be clicked to reveal a scaled-up image.
