Brother 2013, digital painting, size variable

Tuesday, September 17, 2013

Below are 4 square digital paintings that are meant to be printed at 50 inches. I did these over the past month. More investigation of fractals. Each painting has a 3-D shape that has been altered by the distorto tool in Corel painter. These shapes take the place of the Triple Zero figure that I have been using for a couple of years. More abstract, but still with the feeling of a presence.

Last Winter, Eleni and David Smolen of Theo Ganz Studio in Beacon invited me to do an installation in their gallery's window. The result was Triple Zero Winter Wonderland: 43 images projected on a 38" tall plaster sculpture. Triple Zero is reappearing this fall as Triple Zero Drive-by at the invitation of Tom Christopher, master painter and supporter of the arts. The new installation will be at Tom's Lift Trucks Project space in Croton Falls, NY. There will also be a selection of my prints on view. The curator for the show is Pamela Hart.  Click here for additional information.
